Water well drilling is the obvious service we perform, yet there are many other things you might not have considered that we specialize in:

• Pumping System Design; what good is a water well if you can't maximize your water production.  From a well that makes a lot of water to a low producer, there is a right way and many wrong ways to design a pumping system.  Whether that system is a direct pressure system or a storage system a trouble-free design is our goal.

• Pump System Installation; maybe even more important is how a pump system is installed.  We install all systems in a way that will give you years of trouble-free service.  We use the highest quality materials available including Goulds Pumps™ and Goulds Hydro Pro™ Pressure Tanks.  There are even systems that can be installed without a pressure tank in a building we can put them in the well to keep it from freezing.  The latest improvement in pumping systems is the Goulds BF-20 constant pressure system.  These are premium pumping systems for those who want constant pressure from their wells no matter how many people are using water.  www.GouldsPumps.com

• Extensive Information Packet; after we've drilled your well you will receive information detailing:

• Well Clean-Out; if you have an existing well that has decreased production over time, you may be able to clean out sediment, encrusted minerals and bacteria growth that have built up over the years.  There are many different criteria that have to be met before this can be done, but it could be a significantly less expensive way to get your water production back.  This is especially true with an aging well.
  
• Deepen Existing Wells; whether because of drought or other reasons, certain wells can be deepened.  However, there are many things to consider including some possible risks before you go ahead and deepen a well. We discuss these items on a case by case basis.

• Water Treatment; ground water is the purest form of drinking water available.  Not all water wells need water treatment!  However, if you have a desire to remove hardness, iron, sulfur or any other constituents, we can evaluate the water and either recommend a system or refer you to a qualified water treatment specialist.
• Laboratory Drop-Off; we offer a water testing drop-off service at our office in Penn Yan.  We have sample bottles and useful information about testing and well water.  Samples are picked up Monday -Thursday except for holidays.  In addition, we offer sample collection services for newly constructed wells and real estate transactions.  We use Midstate Environmental Labs a New York State Approved laboratory with offices in Clifton Springs and Wayland, New York.
• Well Flow and Water Quality Testing; Probably the most misunderstood and improperly conducted test in real estate today. The bad thing is that it is one of the most important tests performed and if it is not done correctly, you could be left holding the bag (or a huge bill).  These test are being conducted by water service companies and home inspection services incorrectly.  They are opening up the faucets in the home for 30 minutes and dividing out the gallons per minute throughout the home or they run the water at 5 gpm for 30 minutes.  That's just not good enough!  They just tested the water delivery capability and NOT the recovery rate of the well.  An accurate test requires access to the well, proper equipment and experience in conducting a true flow test on a well.  Please contact us for additional information or instructions on how to do it properly yourself.
• Hydrogeologic Services; we design and conduct Hydrogeologic Investigations for municipalities, small businesses, wineries, restaurants and farms to determine the best location and well design for production or irrigation well construction.  We design and install high capacity pumping systems, perform pumping tests on production wells and flow tests on residential wells.  We evaluate geologic and hydrogeologic data and produce professional quality reports that are ready for the Health Department.  See our Professional Services Page.
